Prof. Leon Tshilolo

Professor of Pediatrics and Haematology at the Official University of Mbujimayi (UOM) in DRC and Visitor Teacher at University of Kinshasa and University of Lubumbashi; Leon Tshilolo is  Director of the Institut de Recherche Biomédicale 1-Health (IRB 1-Health) associated with CEFA-Monkole in Kinshasa, DRC. He has dedicated most of his research activities to Sickle Cell Disease,  with more than 100 articles.

Leon Tshilolo is also Co-Chair of SickleinAfrica Consortium, Expert Consultant in the WHO-AFRO, President and co-founder of REDAC, a network of SCD Research in  Central Africa. He is a member of the Académie de Médecine de France and the Académie Congolaise des Sciences (ACCOS).
