Matrix leadership and mentoring of strategy teams that including biomarker discovery, clinical operations, clinical pharmacology, and medical writers. Previously served as Chair, National Haemoglobinopathy panel, England, established networks of service for equity of provision of new therapies and Complex patients’ panels for haemoglobinopathies and Rare Blood Disorders serving as UK Chief/Principal Investigator for multicentre clinical trials.

Established Sickle cell cohort research Foundation (SCORE).
Founding member of Consortium on Newborn screening in Africa (CONSA).
Published over two hundred (200) papers in per review papers including two textbooks; and served as associate editor and editorial board and member WHO technical Committee on Sickle cell disease.
