Completed his MBBS from the University of Burdwan in 1993, MSc in Haemoglobinopathy from the University College London, Fellowship and MPhil from West Bengal University of Health Sciences. Authored and co-authored over 30 academic publications. Covering infections in thalassemia and genomics with special interest in geno-pheno correlation. Holder of patent for POC screening of Thalassemias and Haemoglobinopathies. Current presentation is part of the PhD work being pursued at the University of Burdwan, Molecular Biology and Human Genetics Laboratory and has been submitted for patent.
