
Dr. Andrea Cervi
Adult Hematologist
Dr. Andrea Cervi is an adult hematologist and Division Head of Thrombosis at Windsor Regional Hospital in Ontario, Canada where she leads clinical initiatives focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of thrombotic disorders. She also serves as the regional physician lead for sickle cell disease, overseeing the development and coordination of comprehensive care for individuals living with hemoglobinopathies across the Windsor-Essex region.
Dr. Cervi is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology within the Department of Medicine at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University. In this role, she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and contributes to the training of internal medicine residents and medical students through clinical teaching and mentorship.
Her clinical and research interests center on thrombotic disease, with a particular focus on the treatment and prevention of cancer-associated thrombosis. She is also deeply engaged in quality improvement initiatives aimed at advancing equitable and patient-centered care for individuals living with sickle cell disease. Dr. Cervi has led and collaborated on projects evaluating clinical care pathways, patient-reported outcomes, and healthcare utilization in hemoglobinopathies and thrombosis.
