Dr. Felicia Ikolo is an Associate Professor within the Department of Biochemistry, in the School of Medicine at St. George’s University, Grenada. Dr. Ikolo’s doctoral research in the area of Proteomics was at Northumbria University, United Kingdom. Her research interests include biomolecules, enzymes & genetic diseases, including sickle cell disease. She is a fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, UK, and a member of the Caribbean Association of Medical Technologists. Dr. Ikolo is also a member of the Sickle Cell Association of Grenada (SCAG).
Dr. Ikolo understands the challenges faced by patients with sickle cell disease and will be joining a global panel to discuss challenges, gaps, and solutions to Hereditary Blood Disorders in the Caribbean.
