Oluwafemi Ajayi
PhD candidate Gail Sickle Initiative
Oluwafemi Ajayi (the winning warrior) as she calls herself, has battled with Sickle Cell Disease all her life. She is the CEO of Gail Sickle Initiative, a non-profit organization that seeks to support people living with Sickle Cell Disease. Oluwafemi Ajayi is currently a PhD student at the University of South Africa. She is a patient consultant, a lived experience expert, and a member of different global organizations that continuously research treatments for pain and sickle cell disease.
She has co-authored some publications on sickle cell disease, and pain management and she looks forward to a world without pain.
