About the Mentorship Program
The GANSID established its mentorship program to provide a supportive environment where members of a mentor pair can learn from each other. While the mentor will provide encouragement and direction from the wealth of their knowledge and experience, they should also be encouraged and challenged by their mentee’s questions and fresh insights. A successful partnership benefits both members!
The program aims to promote a continued high level of competence among health care providers (HCPs).
The program runs for 6 months, during which time the mentor and mentee will meet for one hour/month, except where the pair deems it necessary to utilize more hours.
In addition, the mentorship program also supports centres, where requested.
The six months of mentorship are followed by a regional in-person final lecture and assessment no later than 3 months after the cohort conclusion.
