GANSID Healthcare Providers ECHO-Type Case Management Program (Launching 2026)

Overview

GANSID’s Healthcare Providers ECHO-Type Case Management Program is a collaborative, case-based learning initiative designed to strengthen clinical decision-making and improve care for people living with inherited blood disorders (IBDs), including hemoglobinopathies, bleeding disorders, and rare red cell and platelet disorders.

Launching in 2026, the program leverages GANSID’s regional and global clinician WhatsApp fora to create a low-barrier, high-impact platform for continuous learning, peer support, and expert guidance—particularly benefiting clinicians practicing in low- and middle-resource settings.

Program Model

Inspired by the Project ECHO® model, the program emphasizes “all teach, all learn” through real-world case discussions rather than didactic lectures.

  • Clinicians present de-identified cases from their own practice
